Welcome to the Hypnotherapy Training Institute of Santa Barbara.

HTISB was founded by Lisa Lang CHT, to offer the general public a hands on training program that can be used to achieve certification as a clinical hypnotherapist.

What is hypnotherapy?

Like other forms of therapy, hypnotherapy helps people become aware of, and take control over, the unconscious assumptions and belief systems that affect their everyday behavior. What makes hypnotherapy superior to traditional therapy is its ability to create rapid change. Hypnotherapy uses a dramatic intervention process that can reshape someone's feelings of inadequacy and inability into feelings of competency and capability. Through hypnotherapy everyone can realize that they are responsible for our own realities and have the power to change them.

Why study hypnotherapy?

The practice of hypnotherapy benefits the therapist as well as the client.

Understanding hypnosis will help you achieve your goals and understanding hypnotherapy will allow you to help other people achieve their goals.

Hypnotherapy is a tool that will allow anyone to become aware of, and take control over the fears and unconscious assumptions that affect their everyday behavior. These pre-cognitive issues not only limit someone’s potential, they also keep them locked in destructive behavior patterns. Mastery over these patterns will make it possible for anyone to realize their unlimited potential. Hypnotherapy is the key to personal growth and lasting change.

Most people make decisions in their lives based upon what they know is true. At the same time, they spend their lives wishing that they could make their decisions based upon what they want to be true for them. Hypnotherapy is a process that helps someone to realize that; what they know is true, is actually only what they believe to be true. This realization makes it possible for anyone to change what they want to be true, into what they actually know is true for themselves.
